Sony a7S III Coming with Global Shutter Sensor with 4K@60P

Sony A7S III full frame mirrorless camera is rumored to feature global shutter sensor and 4K video recording at 60p.

The Japan-baed company did not announce the long-waited A7S III full frame MILC or a new APS-C mirrorless camera in the beginning of 2019. Reports indicates that the low-light full frame mirrorless from Sony will not be on display at the NAB 2019 event.  The earliest announcement for Sony A7S III seems to be the end of 2019. 

We already know that the A7S III camera could use the BSI Stacked sensor and there were several hints are coming that the upcoming Sony A7S III camera will have the 4K/60p, 4:2:2 10-bit and better battery life. The good thing is that the Sony A7S III will have features that far beyond than we expected. Six New Canon RF Lenses in Development

Along with the entry-level Canon EOS RP full frame mirrorless camera, six new Canon RF lenses are also in development. These RF lenses are expected to be released in 2019.

The most captivating has to be the RF 70-200 F2.8L IS USM. The 70-200 will be stabilized. Canon will be offering two versions of its RF 85mm F1.2L USM: a ‘regular’ model and a ‘DS’ variant. DS stands for Defocus Smoothing, which Canon says ‘offers a combination of beautifully smooth defocused bokeh.

Meanwhile, there are two fast zooms on the way: the RF 15-35mm F2.8L IS USM and the RF 24-70 F2.8L IS USM. Finally a travel zoom lens in the works too – the RF 24-240mm F4-6.3 IS USM.

Nikon Announced the Development of New Firmware for the Z6, Z7, D5, D850 and D500 Cameras

Nikon has announced more details of firmware in development for the Z6, Z7, D5, D850 and D500 cameras.

As previously reported, firmware is being planned that will add Eye-detection AF, CFexpress support and Raw video over HDMI to the Z6 and Z7, with AF and AE improvements also coming in May.

You might familiar with Eye AF which is found on Sony mirrorless cameras, including the a7 III and a7R III against which the Z6 and Z7 compete. Another significant upcoming feature is the ability to output ProRes RAW video to an Atomos Ninja V. Fujifilm XF 16mm f/2.8 R WR Lens

The Fujifilm XF 16mm F2.8 R WR is a compact and lightweight wide-angle prime for the company’s APS-C mirrorless cameras. The lens is equivalent to 24mm when mounted on an X-series camera, such as the new X-T30. It has a total of 10 elements, two of which being aspherical, and nine rounded aperture blades.

The lens, which weighs just 155g/5.5oz, uses a stepping motor for ‘fast and quiet autofocus’ and can focus as close as 17cm/6.7in. The lens is weather-sealed at nine points around the barrel and can function at temperatures as low as -10°C/+14°F.

Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S Lens

The Nikon NIKKOR Z 2470mm f/2.8 S is a standart zoom lens for Nikon Z series mirrorless cameras; it features a constant f/2.8 aperture, providing sharp images and beautiful bokeh.

Compared to the AF-S 24-70mm F2.8 for F-mount, the new lens is 25% smaller and 18% lighter, with a totally redesigned optical formula comprising 17 elements in 15 groups. Additionally, the NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S is the first NIKKOR lens to feature Nikon’s all-new ARNEO coating: a multi-layer coating that is used in conjunction with Nano Crystal Coating for superior anti-reflective performance.

Fujifilm X-T30: Lightweight, 4K $900 Mirrorless Camera

Fujifilm has launched the XT30, a new mirrorless interchangeable lens camera that is the successor to the X-T20. The latest addition to the Fuji X-series line-up, the Fujifilm XT30, has a lot in common with the more expensive X-T3.

The US price for X-T30 body is $899, now available for pre-order at B&H Photo / Amazon / Adorama. The release date for Canon EOS RP is in March.

Olympus 12-200mm f/3.5-6.3 MFT Lens with 16.6x Zoom

Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-200mm f/3.5-6.3 is a new super-telephoto zoom lens for Micro Four Thirds cameras. The lens features a 35mm equivalent focal range of 24-400mm for a 16.6x zoom, the highest magnification available for mirrorless cameras.

The lens is not a “PRO” but the company claims that it offers the same dustproof and splashproof build quality as those lenses.

Olympus 12-200mm f/3.5-6.3 MFT  lens does not offer built-in stabilization, and will rely on camera body IS. The lens uses Olympus’ MSC (Movie and Still Compatible) focusing mechanism and provides quieter operation – particularly useful for shooting video. The company’s ZERO (Zuiko Extra-low Reflection Optical) coating is also employed to reduce flare and ghosting.

Nikon Z7 Firmware 1.03 and Nikon Z6 Firmware 1.01 Released
