Fujifilm has patented a new wide-angle lens for its X-series mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras. It is the XF 16mm F1.8 lens model.
The new wide-angle prime optic will be the f/1.8 version of the current XF 16mm F1.4 model. It provides a 24mm focal length, when mounted on an APS-C sensor X body.
From the patent application the optical design of the XF 16mm F1.8 is very similar to the f/1.4 version. It might be a good answer to the budget-friendly models with a bright aperture one.
