Canon is on the verge to announce a true replacement to the EOS M3 mirrorless camera before Photokina 2016. First Canon EOS M5 specs has been leaked on the web.
Sources are reporting that a successor to the EOS M3 is on the horizon. Even the rumored EOS M5 camera previously mentioned for late 2016, recent gossips hint at Photokina announcement.
Looks like Canon will not abandon the mirrorless market. Reliable sources posted the very first Canon EOS M5 specs. The MILC will be unveiled before the Photokina event.
Canon EOS M5 to be announced before Photokina 2016
The EOS M was Canon’s first mirrorless camera. It was followed by the EOS M2 and then by the EOS M3. Lastly, the EOS M10 came as a lower-end version.
A higher end model will go on sale by the name of EOS M5 and will have better features than its predecessor. The sensor will continue to be an APS-C-sized unit. It is expected to be the 24-megapixel sensor found on the EOS 80D DSLR camera.
The EOS M5 specs will include a new autofocus system and built-in electronic viewfinder. Design of the camera will be like Fuji or Olympus style to look more classical. For the time being, it is unknown whether it will be capable of shooting 4K videos or not.

On the other hand, the EF-M 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS lens coming alongside new EOS M camera. The mirrorless camera from Canon to be announced on September 15, 2016.
