Panasonic is rumored to announce a flagship video-centric camera soon. The product in question is the Panasonic GH5s and it will be the low light killer camera.
You probably think that the new GH5s will use the same 20.3-megapixel MFT sensor. However, contrary to what is thought, the new camera has a lower resolution sensor and bigger pixels pitch compared to the GH5. The Panasonic GH5s might use a 12MP or a 16MP sensor as expected.
Panasonic GH5s Camera to be Announced Soon
The LUMIX GH5 4K Mirrorless ILC Camera was announced back in the beginning of 2017. It comes with 20.3 Megapixels, 4K 60p & 4:2:
A full year after the announcement of GH5, the world of Micro Four Thirds will meet the GH5s with a new sensor and improved low light performance. Sources are claiming that the main improvement would be the state of the art video functions, improved low light performance and a higher launch price compared to the GH5. The body design of the Panasonic GH5s will be similar to the GH5.
Consumer Electronics show opens its doors to visitors in Las Vegas on January 6, therefore the official product launch event will most likely take place on January 5. The second event for Photography world is the CP+ 2018 and it is scheduled for February. The Panasonic GH5s camera is expected to start shipping by the end of February.
