The already in development Sony FE 400mm f/2.8 GM OSS lens will be released sometime in September 2018 with Optical SteadyShot Image Stabilization.
The bright telephoto prime lens will be compatible with Sony FE 1.4X and 2X Teleconverters. The optic will offer a 600mm equivalent, in 35mm equivalent terms, when used on Sony’s APS-C cameras such as the Sony A6500.
The official announcement of the bright telephoto prime lens will be in Summer 2018. According to B&H listing, the shipping date of the lens or expected availabiliy will be at Photokina 2018.
