Looks like the upcoming Fujifilm X-T3 mirrorless camera will be a mini Sony A9. The flagship APS-c shooter is said to feature a high-speed burst speed at 20fps in CH mode and even faster in crop mode.
A stacked sensor dedicates a layer to collect the image data and a layer dedicated to processing that data, which allows high-resolution cameras to perform at faster rates. This technology is one of the reasons the Sony A9 ($4,498) is able to achieve 20fps burst speeds. So we can foresee that the Fuji X-T3 might provide 20fps burst speed if it features this sensor.
We already know that the MILC registered in China under the codename FF180003 (FCCID: COF – WMBNBM 26A). This means that it will be made in China and definitely feature built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
The Fujifilm X-T2 currently goes up to 11fps (with vertical booster grip) and 14fps with electronic shutter. We can expect faster autofocus and burst with better video performance for the upcoming Fujifilm X-T3 camera.
