For those who are desperately waiting Canon full frame mirrorless camera, the rumor mill suggests that the company has several new cameras in testing. We may see first product announcement in the first week of September.

The upcoming Canon full frame mirrorless camera and Canon EOS M5 Mark II are likely to be announced. Both cameras will be introduced at Photokina 2018 on September 26.

Canon is rumored to announce a new EF-M 32mm f/1.4 STM lens for its mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras. The new prime lens is scheduled to be announced in late August / early September for Photokina 2018.

The Canon EF-M 32mm f/1.4 STM will feature smooth and continuous AF with a built-in stepping motor. The lens will be lightweight and small enough to carry around with you everywhere.

New Opteka 12mm f/2.8 Lens Announced for Mirrorless Cameras

Opteka announced  a new 12mm f/2.8 lens designed for mirrorless cameras with APS-c and MFT sensor. The ultra wide-angle prime optic is available for Nikon 1, Canon EF-M, Fuji X, MFT and Sony E mounts.

All-metal construction is durable and depth of field and focus distance scales have been engraved on the lens barrel for pre-focusing needs.

Individual lens element feature an HD anti-reflection coating to control surface reflections, flare, and ghosting in order to realize a high degree of contrast and color accuracy, even when working in bright and backlit conditions.

Canon 12-385mm f/1.8-4 lens patent for Micro Four Thirds

A new patent has been surfaced on the web from Canon. The application describes a Canon 12-385mm f/1.8-4 lens for Micro Four Thirds system cameras.

This ofcourse doesn’t mean that Canon is joining to Micro 4/3rds community. When we look at the application it shows the 12-385mm F1.8-4.0 lens is for a camcorder. It would probably feature a Micro Four Thirds image sensor.
