Canon 12-385mm f/1.8-4 lens patent for Micro Four Thirds

A new patent has been surfaced on the web from Canon. The application describes a Canon 12-385mm f/1.8-4 lens for Micro Four Thirds system cameras.

This ofcourse doesn’t mean that Canon is joining to Micro 4/3rds community. When we look at the application it shows the 12-385mm F1.8-4.0 lens is for a camcorder. It would probably feature a Micro Four Thirds image sensor.

Canon Full Frame Mirrorless Camera Rumored to be Named “EOS M1”

According to the latest rumors Canon full frame mirrorless camera to be announced in 2018. The name of the upcoming product is said to be named as EOS M1.

The rumor mill has a long talk about the upcoming Canon full frame mirrorless camera. The shooter is still undergoing lab tests and development. The camera expected be EF mount and some sort of early prototype already existed although it never came out of Canon’s labs.

According to recent reports the Canon full frame mirrorless camera is rumored to be named as “Canon EOS M1“. More details after the break!

There are no detailed specifications or the announcement date of the product. Additionally, the new mirrorless shooter will appear on the market shortly after its unveiling.

Although the exact announcement date is unknown for now, the source is stating that Canon full frame mirrorless camera rumored to be announced in 2018.

This is not the first time Canon has been rumored to be working on a full-frame mirrorless camera. For the time being, it appears that the camera will be called EOS M1. Stay tuned for more information.

Canon EOS M20 to be Announced in late August

Canon EOS M20 is rumored to be the successor to the Canon M10 mirrorless camera. The replacement model is less than a month away, meaning that is is coming out sometime in late August 2017.

The EOS M10 was announced back in October of 2015, so a replacement model is probably on its way. The upcoming device will go around by the name of Canon EOS M20.

Canon EOS M6 announced with Dual Pixel CMOS AF

Canon has announced the EOS M6 mirrorless camera with Dual Pixel CMOS AF. The new camera will be on display at the CP+ 2017 event.

The new EOS M6 shares essentially all of the M5’s internal components.  It is an upgraded version of the EOS M3, which was released in 2015.

The specs list include the 24MP APS-C sensor with Dual Pixel CMOS AF, Digic 7 processor. The new MILC also capable of recording videos at 1080/60p. Bundled with 3″ touchscreen,  Wi-Fi, NFC and Bluetooth on the connectivity side.

The Canon EOS M6 will start shipping from April 2017 in both black and silver. The price will stand at $780 body-only, with the EF-M 15-45mm F3.5-6.3 IS STM for $900 or with the EF-M 18-150mm F3.5-6.3 IS STM for $1280. Canon EOS M6 Specs and Images Leaked

Full set of Canon EOS M6 specs has been leaked on the web with several product images.

The upcoming EOS M6 include two bundles; one with EF-M 15-45mm lens, kit with EF-M 18-150mm lens, double zoom lens kit and EVF-DC2 viewfinder. It will be available in Black and Silver color options.

The mirrorless camera will be announced at the CP+ 2017 show. The evnt will take place between February 23-26 in Yokohama, Japan.

The current EOS M5 camera is selling for $979 at Amazon. It features a 24.2 Megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor and Dual Pixel CMOS AF.
