Meyer-Optik Goerlitz Unveils Nocturnus 75mm F/0.95 Lens

Meyer-Optik Goerlitz has announced its latest ‘world’s fastest’ f/0.95 lens, launching the Nocturnus 75mm f/0.95, priced at €1,899 on an early bird special.

The German lens maker says the Nocturnus 75mm f/0.95 will have a May 2018 release date and be available in SonyLeica M and Fuji X mounts.

Firmware Updates For Fujifilm X-H1, X-T2, X-Pro2, X-E3, X100F, X-T20 & GFX

Fujifilm has announced that new firmware updates for X-H1, X-T2, X-Pro2, X-E3, X100F & GFX coming soon, while they released the X-T20 firmware ver2.0.0 today.

The first firmware updates will arrive in late April and May for the Fujifilm X-series cameras and the updates reflect the feedback received by Fujifilm X Series users with regards to improving usability and adding new functions.

Fujifilm has officially announced the GF 250mm F4 R LM OIS WR medium format lens. The lens has a 35mm equivalent of around 200mm, which can be further extended via the 1.4x teleconverter also announced today.

Meyer-Optik-Görlitz Unveils Nocturnus III 50 f0.95 Lens

Meyer-Optik-Görlitz launches new Nocturnus III 50 f0.95 with mounts for Sony-E, Fuji-X and Leica M cameras.

The new Nocturnus has a minimum focus distance of 50 cm and weighs 790 grams. The new mechanical design of the Nocturnus III makes this lens also an interesting option for videography: Manual focus control and the step less aperture ring operate almost silently.

Like its predecessor, the new Nocturnus comes with a focal length of 50 mm and an aperture range from f0.95 to f11. Thus, the lens features a lot of versatility both when shooting in available light conditions and in terms of depth-of-field. New Opteka 12mm f/2.8 Lens Announced for Mirrorless Cameras

Opteka announced  a new 12mm f/2.8 lens designed for mirrorless cameras with APS-c and MFT sensor. The ultra wide-angle prime optic is available for Nikon 1, Canon EF-M, Fuji X, MFT and Sony E mounts.

All-metal construction is durable and depth of field and focus distance scales have been engraved on the lens barrel for pre-focusing needs.

Individual lens element feature an HD anti-reflection coating to control surface reflections, flare, and ghosting in order to realize a high degree of contrast and color accuracy, even when working in bright and backlit conditions.

Meike will soon announce three mirrorless lenses. These will be the Meike 50mm f/1.7, Meike 25mm f/2.0 and Meike 25mm T/2.2 CINE lens.

The three new APS-C mirrorless manual focus lenses will be available for Sony E, Canon EF-M, Nikon 1, Fujifilm X and Micro Four Thirds mounts.

Voigtlander 35mm f/1.4 FE lens for Sony E-mount officially announced

Cosina Japan officially announced the Voigtlander Nokton Classic 35mm f/1.4 FE Lens for Sony E-mount users. According to the translated webpage, the lens is scheduled to ship in February of 2018, at a price of ¥ 85,000, or approximately $750 USD.

Adobe released the new updates for Lightroom CC and Camera Raw, adding the full support for Sony a7R III and Panasonic G9 mirrorless cameras.

Adobe have updated the entire Lightroom CC ecosystem, including for Mac, Windows, iOS, Android, and the web, as well as updates to Lightroom Classic CC and Adobe Camera Raw.

Panasonic GH5S Price will be around $2,500

According to recent reports Panasonic GH5s price will be around $2,500. The video-centric mirrorless cameras to be announced in the beginning of 2018.

From the earlier articles, we know that the GH5 will be an “ultra” video oriented low-light version. As a result the Micro 4/3rds sensor of the Panasonic GH5s will provide better low-light shooting capabilities with improved ISO sensitivity.
