Zeiss Loxia 85mm f/2.4 Sonnar FE lens officially announced

The new Zeiss Loxia 85mm f/2.4 Sonnar FE lens officially announced.

Designed for Sony full-frame E mount system cameras, the Loxia 2.4/85 is a new portrait lens from Zeiss. The construction consists of seven lens elements in seven groups. It has been designed for digital sensors and is based on an optimized ZEISS Sonnar design.

The telephoto prime optic has a minimum object distance of 0.80 meters. The manual focus ring has a rotation angle of 220 degrees and enables the subtlest variations of focusing. The large aperture of f/2.4 combined with the high-quality optical design ensures an appealing bokeh. The electronic interface transfers lens data (EXIF) as well as focus movements.

Laowa 7.5mm F2 for MFT and 15mm F2 FE Zero-D Lenses Announced

Venus Optics has announced the new Laowa 7.5mm F2 and 15mm F2 FE Zero-D lenses.

The Laowa 15mm F2 FE Zero-D is the world’s fastest lens for Sony full frame E-mount cameras. The Laowa 7.5mm F2 is the world’s widest optic for Micro Four Thirds cameras.

Samyang AF 14mm F2.8 for Sony E-mount Announced

Samyang Optics has unveiled the AF 14mm F2.8 lens. The full-frame Samyang 14mm F2.8 autofocus lens is designed for Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras.

The wide-angle optic includes Ultra Multi Coating and three aspherical lenses. The construction features 14 elements in 10 groups to minimise aberration and unnecessary light dispersion. The lens delivers high resolution from the centre to the corners of the image.
