Olympus announces a series of new firmware updates that are available immediately for several of its mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras.

The firmware upgrades include Version 2.0 for the flagship Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II, Version 3.0 for the Olympus PEN-F, and Version 4.0 for the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II.

Sigma FE Art lenses for Sony E-mount Available for Pre-Order

The newly announced Sigma FE ART lenses now available for pre-order at B&H Photo Video and Adorama.com. The US price for these lenses are same as Canon/Nikon version.

At the CP+ 2018 event, Sigma introduced their nine ART-series lenses for Sony E-mount. According to Sigma, the E-mount versions will offer a newly developed control algorithm that optimizes the autofocus drive and maximizes the data transmission speed.

Photographer and filmmaker Max Yuryev just tested and compared the new Sony a7 III low-light against the Sony a7R III, Sony a6500, and Panasonic GH5 mirrorless cameras.

Sony a7S III Rumored to be Announced at Photokina 2018

Sony A7S III full frame mirrorless camera is rumored to be announced at 2018 Photokina event. At this point release date of the Sony A7S III is scheduled for late 2018.

The full frame E-mount users has met with the A7SII in September 2015. It has been three years since the previous version. The video-centric full frame E-mount camera is expected to arrive in August – September timeframe in 2018.

Sony a7 III features a 24-megapixel back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS full-frame image sensor. The camera combines many of Sony’s latest technologies from the high-end Alpha A9, as well as the Alpha A7R III into a compact body. Latest BIONZ X image processor ISO sensitivity range greatly improved with an extended ISO ceiling of 204,800 (the same as the Alpha A9). Sony also managed to improve dynamic range to 15 stops with 14-bit raw files.
