Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX85 Announced with 16MP sensor and no AA filter

Panasonic has announced the Lumix DMC-GX85 mirrorless camera with a 16MP Live MOS sensor and without anti-aliasing filter.

The new all-around Micro Four Thirds camera designed for photographers and videographers is a stripped down version of the GX8 model.

Panasonic claims the removal of the anti-aliasing filter boosts fine detail resolution by 10%, and an electromagnet-driven shutter mechanism aims to reduce blur from shutter shock. The sensor also affords a sensitivity range from ISO 200-25600 to suit working in a variety of lighting conditions.
