Sony a7S III Rumored to be Announced at Photokina 2018

Sony A7S III full frame mirrorless camera is rumored to be announced at 2018 Photokina event. At this point release date of the Sony A7S III is scheduled for late 2018.

The full frame E-mount users has met with the A7SII in September 2015. It has been three years since the previous version. The video-centric full frame E-mount camera is expected to arrive in August – September timeframe in 2018.

Sony a7 III features a 24-megapixel back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS full-frame image sensor. The camera combines many of Sony’s latest technologies from the high-end Alpha A9, as well as the Alpha A7R III into a compact body. Latest BIONZ X image processor ISO sensitivity range greatly improved with an extended ISO ceiling of 204,800 (the same as the Alpha A9). Sony also managed to improve dynamic range to 15 stops with 14-bit raw files.

Sony FE 400mm f/2.8 GM OSS Lens Images at CP+ 2018

Sony has showed off their upcoming super telephoto prime; Sony FE 400mm f/2.8 GM OSS Lens at CP+ Show 2018 in Japan. Here are first Sony FE 400mm f/2.8 GM OSS lens images.

The bright telephoto prime lens will be compatible with Sony FE 1.4X and 2X Teleconverters. The optic will offer a 600mm equivalent, in 35mm equivalent terms, when used on Sony’s APS-C cameras such as the Sony A6500.

Fujifilm Released Firmware Updates for X-A3, X-A10 and X-A20

Fujifilm has released new firmware updates for X-A3, X-A10 and X-A20 mirrorless cameras.

Installing these firmware updates will add support for the newly announced FUJINON XC 15-45mmF3.5-5.6 OIS PZ lens for the X-A3 and X-A10. All models gets compatibility with instax SHARE SP-3, as well as SP-1 and SP-2.

The Sony a7 III is a 24MP full frame mirrorless camera that incorporates many of the features and improvements found in the a7R III and A9. Among these are a BSI sensor, along with the larger-capacity battery boasts 710 shots, AF joystick and the company’s impressive EyeAF feature. Its 693-point AF system offers 93% frame coverage. Continuous shooting is offered at up to 10 fps with mechanical shutter, and 5-axis in-body stabilization claims a 5 stop shutter speed advantage.

Panasonic has announced the Leica DG Vario-Elmarit 50-200mm f/2.8-4 ASPH Power OIS lens. This is the latest lens in its line of F2.8-4 zooms and the final,third model in the series. The other lenses in this range, are the Leica 12-60mm f/2.8-4.0, and the wide-angle Leica 8-18mm f/2.8-4.0.

The 100-400mm equivalent zoom designed in collaboration with Leica for Micro Four Thirds cameras. Panasonic’s Power O.I.S. stabilization is included and works with Dual I.S. on compatible Lumix cameras. The lens covers a variety of daily shooting situations, from wildlife to indoor sports, and even supports portrait shots, taking advantage of the f/2.8-4.0 high-speed performance.

The Sony a7 III is the new entry-level full frame mirrorless camera sitting below the A9, A7R III and A7S II.

The A7 III offers a lot of Sony’s latest imaging technologies, including a new 24.2 megapixel Back-Illuminated Exmor R CMOS Image Sensor, expanded ISO range of 50-204800. Sensor and processor combination provides 15 stops of dynamic range, 4K video recording with full pixel readout, 10fps burst shooting. The full frame E-mount camera also has 5-axis 5-stop IBIS, 693 point auto-focus system covering 93% of the image area, Eye auto-focusing mode, a joystick for adjusting the focus point, and class-leading 710 shot battery life.
