Fuj has unveiled the medium-format shooter at the Photokina 2016 event. According to the press text, the company will release the GFX 50S mirrorless digital camera in early 2017.
The medium-format MILC will feature the new FUJIFILM G Format 43.8 x 32.9mm sensor with an astonishing 51.4MP resolution. The system will consist of six FUJINON GF Lenses that will be introduced sequentially in early 2017.

Panasonic has released a firmware update for its Lumix DMC-GX85 / GX80 mirrorless camera. The new firmware version 1.1 further enhancing the camera’s performance by adding the Focus Stacking function.
Taking a single macro photo with specific areas in focus can sometimes be difficult. Focus Stacking enables users to take multiple images of the same frame with different areas in focus, then combine all or selected focus areas into one image.
The firmware update also adds other improvements to enhance the operability of the LUMIX DMC-GX85. The Focus Bracket menu now has a Sequence function. It allows users to set the bracket images to be shot farther and closer from the initial focus position, or farther away. Also, Flash Mode can be set to forced-off when using a built-in flash.

Fujifilm has announced that it will release firmware update for the X-Pro2 mirrorless camera. The new firmware update version 2.0 will arrive on October 6, 2016.
Firmware version 2.0 for X-Pro2 camera updates the autofocus algorithm to be in-line with the just-announced X-T2. The firmware update also improves parallax correction when using the OVF and adds support for the new EF-X500 external flash.
The X-Pro2 has been released at the beginning of March 2016 for a price of $1,699. It comes packed with a 24.3-megapixel APS-C-format X-Trans CMOS III image sensor with a maximum ISO sensitivity of 51200.

Fujifilm has announced the GFX 50S medium-format digital camera development at the Photokina 2016.
The Fujifilm GFX 50S mirrorless camera will feature the new G Format 43.8 x 32.9mm sensor with a 51.4MP resolution. The camera is built around a new ‘G mount’ that will include zoom as well as prime lenses. Six new FUJINON GF Lenses that will be introduced sequentially in early 2017.
The first three lenses will be the GF 63mm F2.8 R WR, a GF32-64mm F4R LM WR and GF 120mm F4 Macro. These are expected in early 2017. The 0.79x crop means these are a 50mm, 25-50mm and 95mm equivalent, respectively.
