Tamron has filed a new standard zoom lens patent in Japan. The application describes the Tamron 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 VC lens designed for mirrorless cameras with full-frame image sensors.
Egami has spotted the file as the optic features a focal range between 28mm and 70mm along with a maximum aperture range of f/3.5-5.6. The standard zoom lens seems to feature built-in image stabilization technology.

Fuji is a busy company this year as they are expanding X-mount lens line-up seriously. The optic in mention is a new wide-angle zoom that will be weather sealed. It will have a focal range between 8-16mm for APS-c sized sensors which corresponds to 12-24mm in 35mm full-frame equivalent.
