Tamron 28-75mm F2.8 lens announced for full-frame Sony mirrorless cameras

Tamron is working on a 28-75mm F2.8 lens for full-frame Sony mirrorless cameras. This is the Tamron’s first ever lens for the Sony full-frame E-mount system.

The new high-speed standard zoom lens, 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III RXD will offer a minimum focus distance of 19cm/7.5in at wide-angle, will measure 11.7cm/4.6in long and weigh in at 19.4oz/1.2lb. Tamron claims the lens will offer excellent optical performance and high-quality bokeh. An ‘RXD’ stepping motor autofocus unit provides quiet operation for video applications, and the whole thing will be moisture-resistant.

The lens incorporates an all-new high-speed and precise AF driving system called RXD(Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive) which operates with remarkable quietness, making it perfect for video use. Fujifilm X-H1 announced with IBIS and touchscreen

The Fujifilm X-H1 is the most advanced X-series mirrorless camera to date with in-body image stabilisation, touchscreen control and improved video settings.

Fujifilm X-H1 mirrorless camera comes with 24.3 megapixel APS-C sized X-Trans CMOS III sensor and X-Processor Pro image processing engine. It is the first camera to feature in-body image stabilization (IBIS), a new Flicker Reduction mode and DCI 4K and impressive video capabilities.

The APS-c sensor MILC is able to shoot UHD 4K at up to 30p and it can also shoot the wider aspect ratio DCI 4K format (4096×2160) at 23.98 and 24p. There’s a new Eterna film simulation which emulates cinematic film, a high bit rate of 200 Mbps, F-log (8-bit) SD card recording, a 1080/120P high-speed mode, a new higher quality built-in microphone (24bit/48khz) and timecode support.

Panasonic GX9 Mirrorless Camera Announced

The Panasonic GX9 is a premium rangefinder-style camera with Micro Four Thirds image sensor. It comes with a sleek design aimed at street photographers. Everything you need to know about the Panasonic Lumix GX9, including impressions and analysis, photos, video, release date, prices, specs.

The GX9 incorporates the same 20MP Micro Four Thirds sensor as its predecessor, but omits the low-pass filter found on previous models. The GX9 does not offer weather-sealing, unlike the GX8 and G9.

The price of the GX9 has come down to $999 with a kit lens. This is $200 less when compared to $1199 for the GX8’s body only. Alongside the price drop, some features found on the GX8 are now gone.
