Sony has just announced the E 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS zoom lens for its a6000 series E-mount cameras.

The lens offers a useful wide-angle to medium telephoto range. The E 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS from Sony is a versatile 27-202.5mm equivalent zoom for APS-C-sensor mirrorless cameras.

Sony E 16-55mm f/2.8 Lens to be Announced in 2018

Sony will allegedly announce a new E 16-55mm f/2.8 lens in 2018. It will be designed for company’s mirrorless cameras with APS-c sized image sensors.

The standard zoom lens will be made and designed by Sony. The sources are claiming that the optic will become official alongside the A6700 in the near future.

Current A-mount version of the 16-50mm f2.8 is a sharp lens but comes with a high price tag. Sony APS-C mirrorless cameras need some budget-friendly lenses. As a result the rumored Sony 16-55mm f/2.8 APS-C lens might have a fair price which should be below the $1,000 mark. … Continue reading

Additional Fujifilm X-H1 camera details

Additional Fujifilm X-H1 camera details has been surfaced on the web. The hybrid mirrorless camera is said to be in development and expected to be announced in February, 2018.

The X-H1 is primarily targeted towards the videographers with in-camera stabilization and the ability to record at 120fps 1080 (4k fps will be lower).

Canon 12-385mm f/1.8-4 lens patent for Micro Four Thirds

A new patent has been surfaced on the web from Canon. The application describes a Canon 12-385mm f/1.8-4 lens for Micro Four Thirds system cameras.

This ofcourse doesn’t mean that Canon is joining to Micro 4/3rds community. When we look at the application it shows the 12-385mm F1.8-4.0 lens is for a camcorder. It would probably feature a Micro Four Thirds image sensor.

Fujifilm X-T1, X-T20 and X100F Firmware Updates Released

Fujifilm released firmware updates for several of its current X-series cameras as X-T1X-T20 and X100F.

The Fuji X-T20 has one fix about a wrong display issue when  “HIGH PERFORMANCE” is set and X-T1 and X100F firmware adds support for “Instax SHARE SP-3″. On the other hand X100F now has support for the FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO software that has been announced last month. This also changes the User’s Manual of the X100F. See the New Features Guide here.

New (and free) FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO software is available now for Mac only. The Windows version will follow in late January 2018. We expect the X-T20 users will be able to process RAW files via the X RAW Studio soon. … Continue reading

Fujifilm X-Pro2 Firmware Update Ver4.00 Released

Fujifilm released a new major firmware update V4.00 for the X-Pro2 mirrorless interchangeable lens camera.

Firmware Ver4.00 adds 4K video recording, support for tether shooting via USB or Wi-Fi and X RAW studio and new AF tracking algorithm for moving subject. The firmware update Ver.4.00 from Ver.3.12 incorporates the following issues. Zeiss Loxia 25mm f/2.4 Lens for Sony E-mount Coming

Zeiss is allegedly working on a new manual focus lens for Sony E-mount system cameras. This product will be a new Loxia 25mm f/2.4 lens. 

The wide angle lens for Sony E-mount cameras is expected to be announced in the first half of 2018. Even there is no exact date for its announcement, CP+ 2018 looks a better event for the lens to be unveiled.
