Canon has introduced the EF-M 28mm F3.5 Macro IS STM lens which is capable of focusing at both infinity and at 1.2x magnification.

The EF-M 28mm F3.5 Macro IS STM from Canon is the world’s first autofocus lens which has two user-controllable built-in LED macro lights and offers true 1:1 reproduction.

Samyang 14mm f/2.8 and 50mm f/1.4 lenses unveiled with AF support

Samyang Optics has announced the company’s first autofocus lenses. Samyang 14mm f/2.8 and 50mm f/1.4 are the first two optics comes with autofocus technology.

The first lenses with autofocus support will be offered in Sony’s E-mount mirrorless camera that are designed to cover a full-frame sensor. Both models are claimed to be fully compatible with contrast-detect as well as phase-detect AF systems.

Sony A6300 Mirrorless Camera Comes with 24MP Sensor and Incredible AF

The Sony A6300 mirrorless camera has been announced as a fast  that is specifically aimed at capturing fast objects.

The mid-range MILC comes with a 24-megapixel APS-c image sensor and incredible “4D” autofocus system with a whopping 425 phase-detection autofocus points.

The a6300’s 425-point hybrid AF system is capable of continuous shooting at up to 11fps and features ‘high-density’ tracking, which dynamically activated AF points around a subject and adjusts them depending on the motion of the subject itself.

Olympus PEN-F camera has been announced a while ago with 20-Megapixel Four Thirds image sensor and built-in EVF.

Zeiss has introduced a Batis 18mm f/2.8 lens with autofocus support for full-frame mirrorless cameras made by Sony.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX85 Announced with 16MP sensor and no AA filter

Panasonic has announced the Lumix DMC-GX85 mirrorless camera with a 16MP Live MOS sensor and without anti-aliasing filter.

The new all-around Micro Four Thirds camera designed for photographers and videographers is a stripped down version of the GX8 model.

Panasonic claims the removal of the anti-aliasing filter boosts fine detail resolution by 10%, and an electromagnet-driven shutter mechanism aims to reduce blur from shutter shock. The sensor also affords a sensitivity range from ISO 200-25600 to suit working in a variety of lighting conditions.
