Hasselblad Announces 4 New Lenses for Mirrorless X1D: XCD 3.5/120mm macro

Hasselblad has announced that they will release four new lenses in one year period for its X1D mirrorless camera. The first lens to arrive will be the XCD 3.5/120mm model.

The XCD 120mm F3.5 macro lens offers a maximum reproduction ratio of 1:2 and a minimum object distance of 43cm, as measured from the image plane.

Like the other XCD lenses, XCD 120mm Macro lens has an integral central shutter offering a wide range of shutter speeds and full flash synchronization up to 1/2000th of a second.

The lens uses 10 elements in 7 groups and an internal floating focusing mechanism. It will weigh 970g and will measure 150mmx81mm. … Continue reading

Cosina announced the development of three new Sony E-mount lenses

Cosina announced the development of three new Voigtlander lenses for full frame Sony E-mount system. The lenses are the Voigtlander APO-MACRO LANTHAR 65mm f/2, NOKTON 35mm f/1.4 and NOKTON 40mm f/1.2.

The new lenses support the 5-axis image stabilization system and EXIF transmission to camera body. They are all manual focus with 1/3 step aperture selection.

Fujifilm Announces MK 18-55mm T2.9 and 50-135mm T2.9 Lenses

Fujifilm unveiled the MK series of new cinema lenses for Sony E-mount cameras. The lenses are the MK 18-55mm T2.9 and MK 50-135mm T2.9.

The lenses are compatible with E-mount cameras with a Super 35mm / APS-C sensor. Fujifilm will be releasing the same lenses for X-mount by the end of the year.

The Fujinon MK 18-55mm T2.9 standard zoom lens will be the first MK lens to be released in early March 2017, priced at $3,799.95. In summer, this will be followed by the launch of the Fujinon MK 50-135mm T2.9, a telephoto zoom lens offering a focal length range of 50-135mm. … Continue reading

Canon EOS M6 announced with Dual Pixel CMOS AF

Canon has announced the EOS M6 mirrorless camera with Dual Pixel CMOS AF. The new camera will be on display at the CP+ 2017 event.

The new EOS M6 shares essentially all of the M5’s internal components.  It is an upgraded version of the EOS M3, which was released in 2015.

The specs list include the 24MP APS-C sensor with Dual Pixel CMOS AF, Digic 7 processor. The new MILC also capable of recording videos at 1080/60p. Bundled with 3″ touchscreen,  Wi-Fi, NFC and Bluetooth on the connectivity side.

The Canon EOS M6 will start shipping from April 2017 in both black and silver. The price will stand at $780 body-only, with the EF-M 15-45mm F3.5-6.3 IS STM for $900 or with the EF-M 18-150mm F3.5-6.3 IS STM for $1280. Sony Announces FE 85mm F1.8 and FE 100mm F2.8 STF GM OSS Lenses

Sony has announced the new FE 85mm F1.8 and FE 100mm F2.8 STF GM OSS lenses. The prime lenses are designed for the company’s full-frame E-mount system.

The new FE 100mm F2.8 STF GM OSS lens becomes the fourth lens in Sony’s G Master line-up. The best thing is for sure is the budget-friendly FE 85mm F1.8 lens.

Fujifilm GFX 50S camera released with three G-mount medium-format lenses

Fujifilm officially announces the GFX 50S camera with three new G-mount medium-format lenses.

Fujifilm GFX 50S camera combines an extraordinary 51.4MP medium-format (43.8 x 32.9mm) sensor, processor and design. As part of the GFX system, Fujifilm is launching newly developed, ultra-high resolution FUJINON GF lenses. All FUJINON GF Lenses have been designed to support sensors of over 100MP.

The first three G-mount lenses are the GF 63mm F2.8 R WR, GF 32-64mm F4 R LM WR, and GF 120mm F4 R LM OIS WR Macro models. Three additional lenses will be released by the end of 2017, including a 23mm F4, 45mm F2.8 and 110mm F2.

Fujifilm unveiled the XF 50mm F2 R WR lens

Fujifilm announces its third compact, light and weather-resistant lens for its X-Series cameras; the FUJINON XF 50mm F2 R WR.

After this announcement, the trio of the WR lenses becomes as the XF 35mm F2, 23mm F2 and XF 50mm F2 R WR.

This new model offers the same dust and water resistance and is freezeproof to 14°F/-10°C. The lens features a focal length equivalent to 76mm in the 35mm film format. As with all Fuji primes the maximum aperture of F2.0 provides smooth and beautiful bokeh.

Fujifilm X100F premium compact unveiled with 24MP sensor

Fujifilm has announced the X100F, a new addition to the X Series range of premium compact cameras.

The X100F features a 24.3MP X-Trans III APS-C sensor and X-Processor Pro image processor borrowed from the X-T2. It has the further evolution of the renowned Advanced Hybrid Viewfinder, which can switch between optical and electronic viewfinders.

With the new X100F, the AF system has been further developed, which is a major hassle for X100-series cameras. The number of autofocus points has been increased from 49 to 91 and fastest AF acquisition time improved to 0.08 seconds. The premium-compact now provides a startup time of 0.5 sec and 0.2 sec shutter release.

Fujifilm X-T20 announced with new 24MP sensor and 4K video

Fuji has unveiled the X-T20 mirrorless camera with new 24MP sensor and 4K video recording.

The stylish, lightweight MILC is a lower-end model to the enthusiast X-T2. The X-T20 borrows the 24.3 megapixel sensor and its advanced autofocus system from the upper model.

The brand new image processor delivers high speed AF, fast start-up and 4K video with Film Simulation modes. The camera can also shoot UHD 4K video at up to 30 fps but lacks the weather sealing.

The Fujifilm X-T20 will be available in Black and Silver from 23rd February 2017 for $900/£799 body only, $1000/£899 in a kit with the XC 16-50mm lens, or $1200/£1099 with the XF 18-55mm lens. … Continue reading
