Hasselblad Announces 4 New Lenses for Mirrorless X1D: XCD 3.5/120mm macro

Hasselblad has announced that they will release four new lenses in one year period for its X1D mirrorless camera. The first lens to arrive will be the XCD 3.5/120mm model.

The XCD 120mm F3.5 macro lens offers a maximum reproduction ratio of 1:2 and a minimum object distance of 43cm, as measured from the image plane.

Like the other XCD lenses, XCD 120mm Macro lens has an integral central shutter offering a wide range of shutter speeds and full flash synchronization up to 1/2000th of a second.

Kowa Prominar 90mm f/2.5 MFT lens is in the works

Designed for Micro Four Thirds system cameras, Kowa Prominar 90mm f/2.5 lens is in development. The prototype of the high-definition macro lens has been on display at CP+ 2017 show.

The lens will provide a 35mm focal length equivalent of 180mm when mounted on MFT cameras. It offers a f/2.5 brightness and macro telephoto function minimum focus distance of 0.1m.

Cosina announced the development of three new Sony E-mount lenses

Cosina announced the development of three new Voigtlander lenses for full frame Sony E-mount system. The lenses are the Voigtlander APO-MACRO LANTHAR 65mm f/2, NOKTON 35mm f/1.4 and NOKTON 40mm f/1.2.

The new lenses support the 5-axis image stabilization system and EXIF transmission to camera body. They are all manual focus with 1/3 step aperture selection.

ZY Optics releases the Mitakon 20mm f/2 4.5X Super Macro Lens

ZY Optics has released the Mitakon 20mm f/2 4.5X super macro lens for full-frame cameras.

The optic offers a maximum magnification ratio of 4.5:1. This gives the opportunity to fill the frame of a 35mm-sized camera with objects four and a half times smaller than the camera’s sensor. Photographer’s can focus as close as 20cm with the lens.

Sony FE 50mm f/2.8 Macro lens tested : Outstanding Sharpness

Sony FE 50mm f/2.8 Macro lens test results now available online. The lens for full-frame mirrorless cameras performed well and shows excellent sharpness.

According to DxOMark, the Sony FE 50mm f/2.8 Macro lens scored a point of 41. They have tested the macro optic by using the Sony A7RII full-frame E-mount camera.

Fujifilm X-Mount Lens Roadmap for 2016

Fujifilm has released an updated X-Mount lens roadmap for 2016.

Three new lenses have been added to the lens roadmap. These are the XF 23mm f/2 R WRXF 50mm f/2 R WR and the XF 80mm f/2.8 R LM OIS WR.

We can say that the previously listed the XF 120mm F2.8 R Macro model has been replaced with a new model. It is the XF 80mmF2.8 R LM OIS WR to meet the market demand for compact and lightweight lenses.
