Olympus E-M5 Mark III camera is rumored to be announced in 2018. So will the Mark III version of the OM-D-series E-M10 shooter employ the 20-megapixel sensor?

Opteka announced  a new 12mm f/2.8 lens designed for mirrorless cameras with APS-c and MFT sensor. The ultra wide-angle prime optic is available for Nikon 1, Canon EF-M, Fuji X, MFT and Sony E mounts.

All-metal construction is durable and depth of field and focus distance scales have been engraved on the lens barrel for pre-focusing needs.

Individual lens element feature an HD anti-reflection coating to control surface reflections, flare, and ghosting in order to realize a high degree of contrast and color accuracy, even when working in bright and backlit conditions.

Olympus announces a series of new firmware updates that are available immediately for several of its mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras.

The firmware upgrades include Version 2.0 for the flagship Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II, Version 3.0 for the Olympus PEN-F, and Version 4.0 for the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II.

Panasonic has announced the Leica DG Vario-Elmarit 50-200mm f/2.8-4 ASPH Power OIS lens. This is the latest lens in its line of F2.8-4 zooms and the final,third model in the series. The other lenses in this range, are the Leica 12-60mm f/2.8-4.0, and the wide-angle Leica 8-18mm f/2.8-4.0.

The 100-400mm equivalent zoom designed in collaboration with Leica for Micro Four Thirds cameras. Panasonic’s Power O.I.S. stabilization is included and works with Dual I.S. on compatible Lumix cameras. The lens covers a variety of daily shooting situations, from wildlife to indoor sports, and even supports portrait shots, taking advantage of the f/2.8-4.0 high-speed performance.

Olympus PEN E-PL9 Officially Announced

Olympus has officially announced the new PEN E-PL9 mirrorless camera with Micro 4/3rds image sensor.

At first glance the Olympus E-PL9 looks very much like its predecessor, the E-PL8, sporting a similar rangefinder-like retro design. On other hand the core specifications of the PEN E-PL9 has lots of improvements.

The PEN E-PL9 uses the 16MP Live MOS sensor as well as the same TruePic VIII processor found on the E-M10 Mark III. They also have the same 121-point contrast-detect AF system with face and eye detection.
