Panasonic Lumix GH5S Camera Officially Announced

Panasonic announces the new Lumix GH5S, which is an ‘exceptional mirrorless camera for videography, designed and developed for professional filmmakers’.

The Lumix GH5S is the world’s first mirrorless camera to offer 4K 60p / 50p video recording in Cinema 4K (4096×2160), features internal 4:2:2 10-bit recording, and ships with V-Log pre-installed on the camera.

The new 10.2-megapixel Digital Live MOS Sensor and Venus Engine reproduce the darkest areas of the image with increased clarity thanks to the maximum ISO 51200.

Full Panasonic GH5S Specifications Leaked

Full Panasonic GH5s specifications has been leaked on the web. According to the reports, the upcoming camera will feature a newly developed 10.2MP Four Thirds sensor with C4K (60p, 150Mbps, 4:2:2 10 bit and slow motion at 240fps (FHD).

As previous articles indicates that the GH5 will be an “ultra” video oriented low-light version. As a result the 12MP sensor of the Panasonic GH5s will provide ISO sensitivity up to 51,200. The Lumix GH5S will be the world-first 4K 60/50p recording in Cinema 4K (4096 x 2160).

Canon 12-385mm f/1.8-4 lens patent for Micro Four Thirds

A new patent has been surfaced on the web from Canon. The application describes a Canon 12-385mm f/1.8-4 lens for Micro Four Thirds system cameras.

This ofcourse doesn’t mean that Canon is joining to Micro 4/3rds community. When we look at the application it shows the 12-385mm F1.8-4.0 lens is for a camcorder. It would probably feature a Micro Four Thirds image sensor.

Olympus has released a new firmware update for the OM-D E-M1 Mark II camera.

The E-M1II firmware update V1.4 improves stability of operations when shooting while utilizing the EVF.

Panasonic GH5 Ver2.2 and G80 Ver1.3 Firmware Updates Released

Panasonic released new firmware updates for the GH5 and G80 Micro Four Thirds cameras.

Before the Panasonic GH5s announcement, the company unveiled a new firmware update ver.2.2 for GH5 that fixes several bugs that were found after updating the major firmware to Ver.2.0. Pana G80 also upgraded to Ver1.3 with support for Leica DG 200mm f/2.8 lens and bug fixes.

More detailed Panasonic GH5s specs has been leaked online. According to the reports, the upcoming camera will feature a 12MP Four Thirds sensor with C4K (60p, 150Mbps, 4:2:2 10 bit and slow motion at 240fps (FHD).

As previous articles indicates that the GH5 will be an “ultra” video oriented low-light version. As a result the 12MP sensor of the Panasonic GH5s  will provide ISO sensitivity up to 102,400.

Lightroom CC & Camera RAW Now Supports Sony a7R III and Panasonic G9

Adobe released the new updates for Lightroom CC and Camera Raw, adding the full support for Sony a7R III and Panasonic G9 mirrorless cameras.

Adobe have updated the entire Lightroom CC ecosystem, including for Mac, Windows, iOS, Android, and the web, as well as updates to Lightroom Classic CC and Adobe Camera Raw.
