Olympus released a new firmware update for the OM-D E-M10 Mark II and E-M10 Mark III MFT cameras. With this firmware E-M10 II updated to V1.4 and E-M10 III to version 1.2.
Olympus E-M10 is the entry-level product of the company’s Micro Four Thirds camera lineup. These cameras uses a 16.1-megapixel Four Thirds CMOS sensor.

Photons to Photos published their sensor test results for the Olympus E-M1X camera and it seems that the old E-M1 Mark II has a better dynamic range than the higher-end model. The E-M1X performance is almost identical to the E-M5 Mark II model that is 5 times cheaper than the E-M1X.

Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-200mm f/3.5-6.3 is a new super-telephoto zoom lens for Micro Four Thirds cameras. The lens features a 35mm equivalent focal range of 24-400mm for a 16.6x zoom, the highest magnification available for mirrorless cameras.
The lens is not a “PRO” but the company claims that it offers the same dustproof and splashproof build quality as those lenses.
Olympus 12-200mm f/3.5-6.3 MFT lens does not offer built-in stabilization, and will rely on camera body IS. The lens uses Olympus’ MSC (Movie and Still Compatible) focusing mechanism and provides quieter operation – particularly useful for shooting video. The company’s ZERO (Zuiko Extra-low Reflection Optical) coating is also employed to reduce flare and ghosting.

Tony Northrup put the newly announced Olympus E-M1X and Sony A7 III camera to freeze test.
Tony’s extreme brutal testing involved by freezing the Olympus E-M1X (Adorama | B&H | Amazon) in ice with a Sony a7 III to test the weather sealing. Then, he did some astrophotography shots to test the eye detect autofocus and portraits, low-light autofocus, sports, stabilization (4 seconds handheld!), Hi-res mode (both tripod and handheld high res), and the built-in ND filter.
