The Sony FE 135mm f/1.8 GM is a new prime lens for full-frame Sony mirrorless cameras that’s designed to deliver the ultimate bokeh. The mid telephoto prime lens features 13 elements in 10 groups including a recently developed, extremely precise XA (extreme aspherical) element that reduces aberration and increases resolution, as well as Super ED (extra-low dispersion) and ED elements.
It has a near-circular 11 blade diaphragm, the most ever used in an Alpha lens, which creates a very attractive blur to the out-of-focus areas of the image, Sony’s Nano AR Coating to reduce flare and ghosting, a fluorine coated front element, and it’s also dust and moisture resistant.

Sony will allegedly announce the FE 24mm f/1.4 GM and FE 135mm f/1.8 GM lenses on September 20. Previous rumors said that Sony will have a product announcement on September 18, now it seems journalists will have two days time to play with the new gears before the official announcement on September 20.
Sony and Zeiss will hold a major product announcement and introduce new gears to photo enthusiasts. As we know that Zeiss is on the verge to announce Batis 40mm FE while Sony introduce the FE 24mm f/1.4 GM and FE 135mm f/1.8 GM lenses.
