Offering 18-36mm focal length on APS-C sensor cameras, the optic uses a Direct Drive Supersonic Wave Motor. Sony’s widest full-frame E-mount lens offers a dynamic perspective for landscape, architecture and interior photography, and is well-suited for both stills and video shooting.

Sony FE 16-35mm F2.8 GM wide-angle lens announced

Sony FE 16-35mm F2.8 GM lens announced for full-frame E-mount cameras.

The company expands the G-Master series with a wide-angle zom lens. The optic joins the acclaimed FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM and FE 70-200mm F2.8 GM OSS to round out the F2.8 large aperture zoom lenses.

The lens features an 11-blade aperture design. Rounded aperture blades are designed to give near-perfectly circular rendering of out-of-focus detail between F2.8 and F5.6.
