New Entaniya 250 fisheye lens for MFT announced

The new Entaniya 250 degree Fisheye lens for Micro Four Thirds cameras was announced in Japan.

Three different models are available ranges from 2.3mm to 3.6mm. The price of the lens is ¥388,000 JPY and it will soon be on sale at Amazon.

Fujifilm patent for XF 16mm F1.8 lens

Fujifilm has patented a new wide-angle lens for its X-series mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras. It is the XF 16mm F1.8 lens model.

The new wide-angle prime optic will be the f/1.8 version of the current XF 16mm F1.4 model. It provides a 24mm focal length, when mounted on an APS-C sensor X body.

Fujifilm has filed a patent for a new wide-angle lens in Japan. The new patent describes a XF 13mm F1.8 lens designed for company’s APS-c size sensor X-series mirrorless cameras.

It is a 20mm equivalent focal length wide-angle prime optic with a bright aperture of f/1.8. However the patent application refers to a Fujinon XF 13mm f/1.8 when considering the crop factor.

Fujifilm XF 8-16mm f/2.8 WR lens rumored to be in the works

Fujifilm is allegedly working on a new wide-angle zoom lens and it will be the new Fujinon XF 8-16mm f/2.8 WR lens.

Fuji is a busy company this year as they are expanding X-mount lens line-up seriously. The optic in mention is a new wide-angle zoom that will be weather sealed. It will have a focal range between 8-16mm for APS-c sized sensors which corresponds to 12-24mm in 35mm full-frame equivalent.

Samyang Optics has announced the company’s first autofocus lenses. Samyang 14mm f/2.8 and 50mm f/1.4 are the first two optics comes with autofocus technology.

The first lenses with autofocus support will be offered in Sony’s E-mount mirrorless camera that are designed to cover a full-frame sensor. Both models are claimed to be fully compatible with contrast-detect as well as phase-detect AF systems.
