New firmware updates for Fujifilm X70 and X-E2s mirrorless cameras now available for download.
Fuji has released firmware update version 1.01 for X-E2s camera to fix a phenomenon about the EVF issue which doesn’t work on rare occasions right after Power On. The version 1.10 update for X70 premium compact camera gets support for the WCL-X70 wide conversion lens.
Both cameras has been announced in early 2016 and we know that Fuji is very sensitive on upgrading its cameras and add support via firmware. So let’s move on the details about the firmware details.
Fujifilm X70 and X-E2s Firmware Updates Released
The X-E2S is a new addition to the company’s premium rangefinder-style mirrorless camera, which is the successor for the award winning X-E2 model. Mirrorless camera features a 16.3 megapixel, APS-C, X-Trans CMOS II sensor and an EXR Processor II. The combination of the sensor and processor enables a native sensitivity range from ISO 200-6400, which is further expandable to ISO 100-51200.
The X70 is the smallest and lightest X-Series premium compact digital camera features a FUJINON 18.5mm F2.8 lens. The 16.3MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS II sensor features a unique randomized pixel array to provide high sensitivity to ISO 51200. Full HD 1080p video recording at 60 fps is also possible, as well as 8 fps continuous shooting and in-camera time-lapse recording for up to 999 consecutive frames.

The firmware update Ver.1.01 from Ver.1.00 incorporates the following issues:

Firmware V1.10 Details for X70
The firmware update Ver. 1.10 from Ver.1.00 incorporates the following issues:
- 1. Support for the wide conversion lens, WCL-X70.
