Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S Lens

The Nikon NIKKOR Z 2470mm f/_2.8 S_ is a standart_ zoom lens_ for _Nikon Z_ series mirrorless cameras; it features a constant f/_2.8_ aperture, providing sharp images and beautiful bokeh.

Compared to the AF-S 24-70mm F2.8 for F-mount, the new lens is 25% smaller and 18% lighter, with a totally redesigned optical formula comprising 17 elements in 15 groups. Additionally, the NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S is the first NIKKOR lens to feature Nikon’s all-new ARNEO coating: a multi-layer coating that is used in conjunction with Nano Crystal Coating for superior anti-reflective performance.

The new NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S will be available in the spring of 2019 with a price tag of $2299. Here’s a short video in which photographer Ami Vitale shares her impressions of the lens and some sample photos shot with it:

Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-200mm f/3.5-6.3 is a new super-telephoto zoom lens for Micro Four Thirds cameras. The lens features a 35mm equivalent focal range of 24-400mm for a 16.6x zoom, the highest magnification available for mirrorless cameras.

The lens is not a “PRO” but the company claims that it offers the same dustproof and splashproof build quality as those lenses.

Olympus 12-200mm f/3.5-6.3 MFT  lens does not offer built-in stabilization, and will rely on camera body IS. The lens uses Olympus’ MSC (Movie and Still Compatible) focusing mechanism and provides quieter operation – particularly useful for shooting video. The company’s ZERO (Zuiko Extra-low Reflection Optical) coating is also employed to reduce flare and ghosting.

This firmware Nikon Z7 firmware update 1.03 and Nikon Z6 firmware update 1.01 fixes several issues. The previously announced major firmware that will add Eye AF, RAW video support, CFexpress support to Z series is expected later.

Canon will soon announce at least 5 new RF-mount full-frame mirrorless lenses. New Canon RF lenses will be the RF 15-35mm f/2.8L IS, RF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS, RF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS, RF 85mm f/1.2L, RF 24-240mm f/4-6.3 IS USM.

According to the reports, the official announcement will happen on February 14th. The lenses will arrive along with the new Canon EOS RP entry level full-frame mirrorless camera.

Nikon has announced that new firmware is currently being developed for the Nikon Z6 and Nikon Z7 full-frame mirrorless cameras.

The company will  add Eye AF, RAW video output and CFexpress Support to the Z6 and Z7 full-frame mirrorless Nikon cameras. The new features will be incorporated in new firmware being developed for the Nikon Z 7 and Z 6, which will be displayed at the CES 2019 show in Las Vegas.
